No goalie owns the Rimouski Oceanic crease

Having one solid starting goalie is every coaches dream. Putting your guy in the net and having total confidence in him is a good thing, but what happens when you have two starters?? Is it a good thing or bad? How do you keep them both happy?

It's strictly rental property.

So Louis-Philip Guindon, who went 11-0-1 with a 1.84 goals against average and .926 save percentage in the Quebec league playoffs, will replace Memorial Cup starter Philippe Desrosiers in Monday's game against the Kelowna Rockets.

"For one of the first times in our history, we have two goaltenders," head coach Serge Beausoleil said. "Why can't I use them? I have two aces in my pocket."

Desrosiers, in net Saturday for the Oshawa loss, replaced Guindon in Game 6 of the Quebec league final and finished off the marathon series win. But the Dallas second rounder misplayed Hunter Smith's soft dump-in on the winning goal and should've stopped Michael Dal Colle's low wrist shot in the first period.

"I know he can be better but we don't put the loss on him," Beausoleil said. "We lose as a team. We had too many turnovers. Oshawa played better."

Beausoleil would clearly prefer Leafs first-rounder Frederik Gauthier on the ice against Kelowna's top centre Leon Draisaitl, but the Rockets have last line change in the pivotal tilt of winless teams.

Dan Lambert will largely dictate matchups and said he would play a potential Gauthier-Draisaitl joust "by ear".

"That could be a good confrontation -- we'll see (if it materializes)," Beausoleil said. "Draisaitl, is he going to the bench sometimes? I think it's around 30 minutes per game. For a forward's that (a lot of ice time)."
